The Two Riversides Film and Art Festival will open with the Golden Palm winner “I, Daniel Blake” by Ken Loach. This year marks the 10th edition of the event.
On the 30th of July, 2016, during the Two Riversides opening ceremony, we will present this year’s Cannes Film Festival Golden Palm winner, “I, Daniel Blake” by Ken Loach. The British director has had a long history with the French festival: in 2006, he won the Golden Palm for “The Wind That Shakes the Barley,” and in 2012, he received the Jury Prize for the best film for “The Angels’ Share.” Loach is also the winner of the César Award, the Crystal Globe, the Prize of the Ecumenical Jury and the International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) Prize, as well as a five-time BAFTA Award nominee.
