DESCRIPTION
Cuban composer and pianist Ernesto Lecuona is regarded today as tone of the most influential Cuban musicians of the 20th century. In the film, celebrated musicians Chucho Valdés, Michel Camilo and Gonzalo Rubalcaba pay tribute to the godfather of contemporary Cuban music. Their take on Lecuona’s music takes us through the master’s afro-cuban Jazz roots straight from the heart of Havana, reveals the prodigious atmosphere and sophisticated playing of Lecuona in New York City, creates a majestic fusion between Lecuona’s distinctive compositions and flamenco music from Seville in Spain.
