„Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark Room” is a story about the limitless love of 11-year old girl Lata for her father. Lata is preparing a song for the school academy organized for the coming Father’s Day. It makes her watch her father closer than usual. While trying to describe her feelings for him, she starts to uncover his secrets.

He’s on his last year of University – Radio and Television Faculty University of Silesia in Katowice. Holder o Ministry of Culture and National Heritage scholarsip. His works (among others): „Twist&Blood” (2010), „Za horyzont” (2007).

Eight characters – Polish Jews and Jewesses born between 1914 and 1923 – introduce us to the world of their youth, children memories and adventures. The story is build on the earliest memories and events. Personal stories, which combine into colorful image of the lost world.

IVO KRANKOWSKI
Director, producer. He produced „Kuchenne marzenia” (2009) and „Godzina z nocy na dzień” (2008), which he also directed and edited. PR manager of an artistic group „Defekt masy”.

Thirty-year-old Marta is tired of living with her invasive mother and trying to get away from this toxic relationship.

JULIA KOLBERGER (1978)
She studied English, film studies and applied linguistics in Tours and Paris. She worked as a secretary, a translator and an English teacher at school. Graduate of directing at Łódź Film School. She made short films, documentary and features: „Mi mama nie przeszkadza” (2005), „Powiedz mi coś jeszcze” (2006), „Przez dotyk” (2007), „Trening” (2008).
