Everything starts with a quest for the sea-monster’s heart. A possessive and haughty queen (Salma Hayek) is willing to sacrifice many a life to achieve her goal: give birth to a long-awaited son. An unpredictable king (Toby Jones), spiraling into madness, gives the hand of his lovely, innocent daughter to a deformed giant. Two mysterious sisters compete for the affection of a lustful king (Vincent Cassel). Undying love and eternal beauty are at stake, but only one can win. There is a monster inside every human being, and love, beauty, and dreams come at a steep price.
