DESCRIPTION
„Right Side of Cello” is a documentary about an exceptional cello player Dominik Połoński. The film showcases an unusual relationship between the man and his instrument. It always accompanied the artists: in the height of his glory but also when he was forced to use a wheel chair. Despite all that, our hero is using the instrument to full capacity of possibilities. More and more composers write music just for one hand, especially for Dominik. It is a story about the struggle with the limitations of body and the will that allows us to defeat our weakness.

Aleksandra Rek (1982) Director and author of screenplays for documentaries and features commissioned by the Polish Television, she graduated in Television Journalism at the National Film School in Łódź and in Cultural Studies at the University of Lodz. She is also a graduate of the Wajda School in Warsaw. For nine years, she has been cooperating with the TVP Łódź as an author of features and documentaries.
