DESCRIPTION

The protagonists, mermaids by the names Gold and Silver, land in the middle of the world of Warsaw dance clubs of the eighties, vibrant with music and glittering with neon lights and sparkle. One of the sisters tragically falls in love with a bassist of the Figi i Daktyle [Figs and Dates] band. Interweaving real and fantasy elements, Agnieszka Smoczyńska gives a passionately narration of reaching adulthood, of emerging passions and dramatic disillusions, and the marvellous atmosphere of the film is created by songs of the Ballady i Romanse [Ballads and Romances] band and hits from the bygone era.
