Adaptation of "Dzieje jednego pocisku" [History of a bullet] by Andrzej Strug describes attitudes characteristic not only of the Revolution 1905 (time of action), but also of times of national oppression in general. The fever from the title refers mainly to the desire to transform the mental pressure into social action and it is sometimes interpreted in the context of the then upcoming August '80. The fear and the hope of the combatants, the myths that guided them and the price they paid are somewhat ambiguously construed by Holland. Which makes it all the more interesting.
1981 Polish Film Festival in Gdynia – Grand Prix, prize for leading male role (Bogusław Linda, Krzysztof Zaleski), award for production design (Andrzej Przedworski)
