DESCRIPTION
Local community. Christian (Paul Schneider) comes to the wedding of his father, a local rich man (Geoffrey Rush), accompanied by a much younger woman. During the stay in his hometown, he gets back in touch with Oliver, his childhood friend. With time, he also meets his companions and discovers a secret that could well destroy Oliver's family. When the story is about to reach the grand finale, the facts that were to be left forever in oblivion, are suddenly revealed. Complicated past and secrets shrouded for years will prove to be a grave peril to family ties.

Simon Stone (1984) Director, writer and actor born in Basel, Switzerland. He is considered to be one of the most interesting theater directors of the younger generation. He wrote and directed several performances for the biggest theater groups, such as Belvoir, Melbourne, Sydney and Malthouse Theatre Companies. Currently, he works with theaters in Vienna, Amsterdam and Basel. "The Daughter" is his first feature.
