DESCRIPTION
The film outlines the fortunes of Senadin Ljubovic, a Bosnian Muslim, who has worked for 40 years as a neuropsychiatrist in Sarajevo. Trauma-struck Yugoslavia was inhabited by both victims and war criminals with whom Ljubovic had contact as a doctor. Thus, throughout many years of practise, he became acquainted with the darkest recesses of human psyche. Creating a portrait of the psychiatrist and his patients, Lipko invites the audience to reflect on the mechanisms regulating human behavior at pivotal times.
DIRECTOR
Daria Lipko (1976) Film director and executive producer who graduated in theatre and culture management studies from the Jagiellonian University. She works for the Polish TVN at the production of feature and documentary films. Her film “State of Mind” got her the HBO prize for the best project.
